If you are in good physical health and seeking to address issues like fine lines and wrinkles, you are an excellent candidate for Juvederm.
Some results are noticeable immediately after your procedure. The full results can take up to three weeks once the swelling has subsided.
There is minimal recovery with a Juvederm treatment although you may experience some slight bruising or discomfort following your treatment. Most patients return to work and regular activities shortly after their visit. If you can, remain in an upright position for the first four hours after your procedure.
Some patients may have temporary injection-related reactions including bumps, firmness, pain, and swelling that can last a week. Applying an ice pack or cold compress to the area for ten minutes every few hours can help decrease swelling.
You should avoid strenuous exercises or sun exposure for the first 24 hours after your procedure to minimize temporary redness and swelling at the treatment sites.
